A former operations manager with one of the South's largest retail importers, Benjy Orbach oversaw ten stores and several customer service centers. More recently, he served as a sales and operations manager for a popular New England snack food company. Benjy Orbach resides in Methuen, Massachusetts, where he supports charitable organizations locally such as Toys for Tots.
Operated by the United States Marine Corps since 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed more than 560 million toys since its creation. Alongside its traditional toy collection efforts, the organization’s Native American Program donates toys and books for children living in poverty on Native American reservations.
Created in 1980, the program originally distributed items throughout the Navajo Nation, which comprises 25,000 square miles across three states. Since then, it has expanded to include Native American populations such as Apaches, Hopi, Yaqui, Zuni, and Tohono O'odham. In 2019, the Native American program worked with reservation police departments and state branches of the National Guard to distribute more than 310,000 toys to over 155,000 children across ten states.
