Below are three of the biggest sporting events scheduled for 2020:
1. Super Bowl - Super Bowl 54, the championship game of the NFL, is scheduled to take place in Miami, Florida, on February 2. The average ticket price on the resale market for last year's event, which was held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, was $5,239. The halftime show is also a big part of the attraction - last year's show featured a performance by Maroon 5.
2. The Masters - Held at Augusta National Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, every year since 1934, The Masters is one of four major tournaments on the PGA Tour and considered one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. The 2020 tournament takes place from April 9 to 12.
3. Summer Games - The 2020 Summer Olympics will be held from July 24 to August 9 in Tokyo, Japan, marking the second time the city will host the games and first time in 56 years. Sports like karate, skateboarding, and surfing will make their Olympic debut, while several existing sports will feature new events.
